Sälenfjällen is Sweden’s largest and most visited ski area with skiing from November to the end of April.
If you’re looking for white expanses and wonderful skiing weather, a winter in Sälen is a guaranteed good choice for both beginners and experienced skiers and snowboarders. There are also plenty of activities for those who don’t want to ski or snowboard. Here you can find, among other things, Experium in Lindvallen with cinema, bowling, adventure pool, shopping and nice restaurants and cafes.
Go skiing and snowboarding in Sälen
In Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället there are a total of about 90 lifts and over 100 runs. There are slopes for beginners as well as more advanced skiers. In Hundfjället there is the steepest piste in the Nordics, the Wall. Transport lift connects Högfjället with Lindvallen and Tandådalen with Hundfjället. With the Sälen Pass you can ride in the entire area. Snowpark areas can be found in Lindvallen and Tandådalen. For the cross-country skier, there is a large number of trails, electric light trails and hiking trails to choose from. All ski resorts have ski school, guided tours, snowmobile rental and dog sledding.
At Sätertjärn in Tandådalen there is ice-carting.
